Deactivate

For example when reusing a disk. 

cat /proc/mdstat 
 Personalities : [raid0] [raid1] [raid6] [raid5] [raid4] [raid10] 
 md126 : active (auto-read-only) raid1 sde[0]
     780861440 blocks super external:/md127/0 [2/1] [U_]
     

mdadm --stop /dev/md126
 mdadm: stopped /dev/md126

mdadm --remove /dev/md126


FAQ

mdadm: Array associated with md device /dev/md0 does not exist.

init state[0] : Not Initialised
